A growing medium with a loose structure, brown color, and free of foreign odors. Its nutrient supply and air balance are ideal for citrus plants.

Young citrus plants are usually planted in smaller pots and containers to make them easier to transport. Further cultivation in these pots is not recommended, i.e. it must be transplanted. For a similar reason, the root system of globe plants is restrained and less voluminous.

After lifting out our citrus plant, remove the outer few cm of the outer layer of the earth ball with a blunt tool. We prune back the broken and split roots in order to stimulate the formation of new root parts. If the root system of our citrus has densely woven through the ground, it can be transplanted at any time during the year. However, the most favorable period is in early spring, around February and March, when the citrus is about to sprout.

It doesn't matter what quality potting soil you buy. Choose the checked quality!
